Blaine Clements, 53, of 534 N. 3rd East, died at his residence Friday evening [Sept 22] of a heart ailment.

Born Aug. 5, 1907 in American Fork to Edward A. and Rosebell Erickson Clements. He was a trucker.

Active in Fourth Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Married Viola Phillips, Dec. 9, 1929 in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they had 12 children

Survived by his widow; sons and daughters, Edward Blaine and Mrs. John (Joan) Candland, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Alice Truitt and Mrs. Don (Carol) Zobell, Orem; Mrs. Max (Glenna) Quick, Salt Lake City; Virgil, with armed forces in Germany; Mrs. Dee (Roxie) Doyle, Layton; Sheldon, Earlyn, Linda, David, American Fork; 19 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Wallace and Mrs. Axel (Edna) Myrberg, Salt Lake City; Glen, Welby, Malan, American Fork; Mrs. Gordon (Marie) Deakin, South Jordan; Mrs. David (Elaine) Jones, Lehi.

Preceded in death by his parents, one child EllaRae.
