He was the son of James Robert and Lillie Parker Phillips. He was pastor to several Nazarene Churches but had retired and was living in Little Rock, Ark. He was survived by his wife, Hidred Eakins Phillips of Little Rock, Ark. One sister Mrs Lorene Pruitt of Shelbyville, Tn Three sons, Stanley, Joe and James Louis Phillips; two daughters, mrs Julia Alice Kelly and Deborah Payne; and one brother, Bennie Phillips of Nashville. Eight grandchildren and one Great-grandchild.
