Miss Elizabeth Jane Homburg, 81, who for many years before her retirement was associated with the Markley-Homburg Abstract company in this city, died at 12:15 o'clock Sunday afternoon at a local hospital following a lingering illness. The daughter of Ernest and Christina (Schmidt) Homburg, she was born June 2, 1869 in Cass county. She resided at 213 Seventh street. She had been a member of the St. Luke's Lutheran church for many years. Several nieces and nephews survive.
The body was removed to the McCloskey-Hamilton funeral home where friends may call. Brief services will be held at the McCloskey-Hamilton chapel at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the funeral services to be held at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday at St. Luke's Lutheran church. The Rev. B. L. Stroup will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery. The casket will not be opened at the church.
