Lela was born March 6, 1914 in Loami, IL to John C. and Dorothy E. (Kerr) Aubrey. She married Russell Jackson on March 14, 1936 in Springfield, IL. He passed away November 5, 1999.
Also preceding her were her parents.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol (William) Taylor of Pekin; two grandchildren, Laura (Steve) Brown of Pekin, Ryan Halze of Granger, Indiana; five great grandchildren, Jess, Dustin and Keith Brown and Devin and Carissa Halze; two great great grandchildren, Olivia Brown and Liam Brown; one sister Geraldine Ladage of Waverly, IL.
Lela was a homemaker.
She was a member of First Christian Church of Pekin.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Waverly East Cemetery in Waverly, IL. Steven Brown and Roger True will officiate. Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin is assisting Lela's family with arrangements.
