Susan Batchelder Pierce later married Smith Dyer Pierce, Theodore's older brother by 20 years. Smith's First wife was Polly Dunlap. Four children born at Sandy Creek, NY. They were married 1824 probably (this date has to be a mistake as Theodore & Susan's birth years were 1826 & 1825) in Sandy Creek. Four children listed. Theodore died at age 29. He left 2 children and a pregnant wife. Elon, Cora, and Effie Thodosia born 2-8-1855. Smith Dyer and Susan were married on the date given at Dupage Co., IL by G.A. Bishop. They moved to Belmond, Iowa in May 1864. Elon, Cora and Effie attended U of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, with some of their Dunlap cousins. Elon was graduated in 1876, the first class to graduate. Theodore, Polly Dunlap Pierce, Hannah and John are buried in Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago, IL.Son of John and Hannah. Remains moved to Rosehill Cemetery cir. 1865. He was the husband of Susan Batcher Pierce.
