Joseph Moreno, a veteran of the U.S. Army, died April 9. He was 76. Mr. Moreno was born in Hollister and lived in Reno/Sparks area for 25 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1941-1951. Mr. Moreno was a chef at Harrah's Casino. Mr. Moreno is survived by his wife, Glenna Moreno, of Sparks, Nev., son Joseph Moreno, Jr. of Sparks, Nev., daughter Sharon Moreno of Sparks, Nev., son Leon McBride of Boise, Id., son Mark Messanger, son Ronnie Moreno, daughter Donna Moreno, daughter Karen Smith, daughter Joni Moreno all of California, sister Erma Dehn of Minnesota, sister Loretta Sandoval, brother Fernando Moreno, brother Charlie Moreno all of California, 22 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation was held Monday at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. Interment with military honors was will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
