Funeral services for David M. Barringer, 66, of 406 S. Belmont Av., will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday In the Littleton funeral home by the Rev, Kenneth Murphy, pastor of the First United Church of Christ.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7.p.m. Wednesday.

Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.'

Mr. Barringer died at 7:20.a.m. Tuesday in Mercy Hospital following one year of failing health.

Mr. Barringer, who was associated with the Denman Tire Co., was born in Springfield, July 3, 1897, a son of Martin and Flora Barringer. He had been a member of the First United Church of Christ, and was a veteran of World War II. He also was a member of the Warren Ledge No. 24, F. and A. M. of Piqua, the Springfield Chapter No. 43, R.A.M. Springfield Council No. 17, R. and S. M., Palestine Cornmandery No. 33, Knights Templar; and a Member of the National Rifle Association of America.

Survivors include his wife, Leonore; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Ameia Mitch of Springfield, Mrs. Rachel Shepard of Columbus and Mrs. Ruth Allen of Atlanta, Ga.; a son, David, of Oxnard, Calif.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two sisters,.
