GALESBURG - Jennie Bertha Crone Nemeth, 91, 550 E. Carl Sandburg Drive, died at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday (July 6, 1999) in Seminary Manor, 2345 N. Seminary St.
She was born Dec. 3, 1908, in Galesburg, the daughter of Charles and Lena Olson Crone.
She married Joseph Nemeth on June 18, 1927, in Galesburg. He died Dec. 30, 1996.
Surviving are two sons, Carl J. Nemeth, Oak Harbor, Wash., and John W. Nemeth, Oceanside, Calif., 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by one son, Mark C. Nemeth; three sister, Nellie Durbin, Alice Sloan and Helen M. Young; one brother; Carl O. Crone and three grandchildren.
She attended Galesburg High School and Brown Business College.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and its Alter and Rosary Society.
Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Rev. Bruce King officiating. Visitation service will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery."
