Son of George and Deliah Hopson Crump and attended Sunnyside School in Cumerland, VA.

He worked for Stonell's Sawmill in Virginia before moving to Jamesport, Long Island, N. Y. He worked for General Building Laborers Local Np 56 until his retirement in 1994 and later worked for Sam Grant Lawn Service.

Family members described Mr. Crump, known as "Babe", as a "kind, fun- loving person who enjoyed life to the fullest".
