He was the former owner of the Granite City Tool Company in Elberton and Peeples Motel in Swainsboro. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the Elks and Moose lodges in Cape Coral Fla.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Cumming of Bradenton and Frank Cumming of Marietta, a daughter Charlene Garcia of Morrow, Ga., two sisters, Lucille Martin of Jacksonville Beach, Fla and Mavis C. Thompson of Atlanta, three grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at Hopkinton Old Cemetery in Hopkinton, N.H., Saturday Sept. 30, at 11 a.m.
Griffith-Cline Funeral Home of Bradenton is in charge of arrangements.
