A funeral was conducted on Monday, July 6, 1942, 11 AM, for the son of Charles West Barlow and Ella Elizabeth Bloxton Barlow. Charles Moncure Barlow (46) died Wednesday afternoon, July 1, 1942, at his home in Stafford Courthouse. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery. Charles M. Barlow was a veteran of WWI and served overseas with the AEF, having been gassed and wounded in battle.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Ella E. Barlow, and five children: Corporal Charles M. Barlow, Jr. of Abilene, TX; John Barlow; Misses Grace, Carrie and Betty Barlow of Stafford; one sister, Mrs. R. H. McDaniel, and one brother, R. L. Barlow of Stafford.
