Mr. Bernard Howard Lindsey, age 80 of Henderson passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at St. John's Health System in Springfield, Missouri. Bernard Lindsey was born February 27, 1929 in Colefax, Iowa to Mathew and Sara (McDonald) Lindsey. He married Betty Lou Lundeen April 18, 1970 in Moline, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Henderson.

Mr. Bernard Lindsey is survived by his wife Betty Lindsey of the home; 2 sons: James Lindsey (Marilyn) and Martin Lindsey both of Rock Island, Illinois; 1 daughter: Katherine Franks (Billy) of Brimfield, Illinois, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are 2 sisters; Darlene Willson of Des Moins Iowa and Barbra Sikston of Newton, Iowa and 1 brother; Homer Lindsey (Joann) of Monroe, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 1 son.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at Baxter Memorial Gardens with Pastor Van Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Henderson.
