The Bolivar Commercial, Thursday, March 12, 2009: Jimmy Lee Ray, 73, of Cleveland died Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2009, at Ray Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Owen officiating. Burial will follow in North Cleveland Cemetery.

Mr. Ray was born on October 5, 1935, in Bolivar County to Webster Lee and Gertie Frances Ray. He married Collette Clearman on June 10, 1984, in Boyle. He was the owner of Delta Cream Donuts & Cakes and a member of the Cleveland-Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Leland Masonic Lodge, where he was a Master Mason for 52 years.

Survivors include his wife, Collette Clearman Ray of Cleveland; three daughters, Beverly Ray Card (Bob) of Cleveland, Missy Luna (Tim) of Tupelo and Marie Guin (Tony) of Hamilton; two sisters, Geneva Kern of Grantville, Ga., and Mary Emma Blankenship of D'Iberville; and four grandchildren, Lt. Christopher Edward Ray Card, USAF (Amber), Dylan James Evans, Timothy Alex Luna and Cassidy Rae Guin.

Pallbearers will be George Johnson, Brewer Huchinson, Gary Sheppeard, Wally Lee, Harry Howarth, Billy Stanford, and Jimmy Ervin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Self, Robert E. Smith, Jim Hunter McCaleb, Wayne Lee, Dr. Bennie Wright, Dr. David Walt, Gerald Jacks, Roy Jacks, Bobby Horton, Dr. Hugh Smith, Johnny Norquist, Fred Rogers, Brent Smith and George Evans III.
