Clyde C. Anderson, Jr., 78, a life long resident of Chesterfield County, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 16, 2008. Clyde was the 4th child of Lessie Martin & Clyde C. Anderson, Sr., and the grandson of Benjamin Winston & Clara Cox Martin.
He is survived by his sisters, Louise Berger and Mildred Crostic; brother, Benjamin "Ben" W. Anderson (Virginia); nieces and nephews and a good friend, Mary Ellen Harrison.
Clyde was a graduate of Manchester High School, Richmond Polytechnical Institute, a U.S Army veteran serving in England during the Korean War. He retired from the C&P Telephone Company. He raised thoroughbred horses, was an enthusiast of horse racing, and as a harness driver, raced and won many events throughout Virginia and the East Coast.
