Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Akins Assembly of God with burial at Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; a daughter, Sheila Covey of Spiro; five sons, Roger Coatney of Long, Okla., Charles Coatney of Claremore, Okla., Mike Coatney of Sallisaw, Tony Coatney of Tulsa and Larry Coatney of Muldrow; a sister, Audra Stuart of Seminole, Okla.; a brother, Raymond Coatney of California; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.∼
