A. H. Dunn, who for a number of years resided in the Second Ward of Paola, but since the death of his wife three years ago lived with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs. Geo Land, in Miami-twp., died there last Tuesday.

Mr. Dunn was born in Switzerland Co., Indiana, July 25, 1825. He grew up and was married there, and with his family moved to Paola in 1883. He was a carrpenter by trade, and with the exception of the past few years, when his health began to fail, he was a hard-working man. He was a veteran of the war and a good soldier, entering early in the service and serving to the close of the war. The body was brought to Paola Thursday and taken to the home of his nephew, Perry Dunn. His only children are Mrs. George Land of Miami Twp., and Mrs. Callie Carver, residing in Switerland Co., Indiana. The only other relative residing here is his nephew, Mr. Dunn. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. S. L. Chase, and under the auspices of McCaslin post G.A.R., will be held from the Methodist Church this Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The remains will be buried in the Paola Cemetery.
