GEORGETOWN, S.C. Mr. Forrest Soloman Sparky Anthony, 71, formerly of Boiling Springs, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at the Brian Center in Salisbury.
Born in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Sol Anthony and Mollie Guffey Anthony. He retired from Belmont Heritage, where he was an engineer. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by a daughter and her husband, Debbie and Danny Hayes of Mocksville; a son and his wife, Todd and Susan Anthony of Cleveland; a grandson and his wife, Phillip and Cindy Denton of Bessemer City; a granddaughter and her husband, Angie and Kyle Powell of Coolemee; two grandsons and three granddaughters, D.J. and Dannica Hayes of Mocksville, Todd Anthony and Stacy Anthony and Kelly Jordon and Chrstyn Anthony, all of Cleveland; two sisters, Mary Lou Humphries of Shelby and Pat P. Fish of Maiden; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Cleveland Memorial Park.
