A former Wellington man, Dale Gardner, 44, of Nashville, Tenn., died at his home Friday, January 23, after a long illness. He was the son of Mrs. Grace Johnson Gardner, now of Nashville, and the late Troy Gardner. Mr. Gardner was born in Wellington May 13, 1942 and attended Wellington School through the 8th grade, when he moved with the family to Amarillo. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1960 and moved to Nashville in 1968. He was a member of the Evangel
Temple. He is survived by a son, Cory Dale Gardner of Albuquerque,
N.M., two daughters, Amy Gardner and Angie Gardner of Kingston
Springs, Tenn.; his mother, Grace Gardner of Nashville; a brother,
Bill Gardner of Portland, Texas; and two sisters, Helen Ellis of
Nashville and Janie Tuckness of Amarillo. He was preceded in
death by his father, Troy Gardner, in 1981 and by his twin sister, Gale in 1983. Relatives living in Wellington are two aunts, Mrs. Ethel Littleton; and Mrs. Ruby Sanders; and two cousins, Mrs. Faye Horton and Mrs. Billie Seitz.
