Grandfather Wm. Vander Kooi Passed Away Saturday

Old Gentleman Wm Vander Kooi who had been very active up until a few weeks ago, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. P. Visser in Hull last Saturday. He suffered much the last couple of days with some bladder trouble.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the home and from the First Reformed church, with Rev. Doiswestra of Hull and Rev. Lubbers of Doon, officiating.
Mr. Vander Kooi was a kind and loving father, a fried of everyone and a good Christian. He had been an Elder in the church of twenty years and was the oldest member. He will be greatly missed by relatives and friends alike.
He was eighty six year and eight months old and was the father of ten children, two dying in infancy. Mrs. Vander Kooi died twenty seven years ago.
The surviving children are: Mrs. Visser, John, Ben and Mrs. G, Kuyper, of Hull; Mrs. D. Rypkema of George; Mrs. Al Koele of Hull; Nick of Springfield, South Dakota; and Wm. B. Vander Kooi of Doone. There are also thirty four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
The Index joins in extending sincere sympathy ot the surviving members of the family.
