Henry Frederick Beermann (1896? - 1965)

Henry Frederick Beermann, the son of Henry Beermann, Schleswig-Holstein,
Germany, and Sophie (Rothermund) Beermann, was born in Heemsen. At the age of
one year he came with his parents to America, settling in Crawford county, where
he grew to manhood.

He was married to Olga Weller on March 1, 1916. After their marriage they
resided on farms in Nisnabotny and Washington Townships until coming to live in
Denison in 1949. On Nov. 8 he was taken to the Memorial hospital and died on
Nov. 19 (1965) at 7 p.m.

He is survived by his widow, three sons, Walter and Edward of Denison and Harold
of Defiance; four daughters: Mrs. Alma Denker of Denison; Mrs. Dorothy
Christoffersen of Audubon; Mrs. Irene Boeck of Ida Grove and Mrs. Lorena Fink of
Deloit; thirty grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one
brother, Herman of Ireton and two sisters: Mrs. Anna Bruns and Mrs. Emma
Burmeister of Denison. A son, Alvin, and two twin daughters who died in infancy,
one grandson, three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Beermann was baptized in infancy and on March 29, 1896 was confirmed in Zion
Lutheran church of Denison. He was a voting member of this church and served as
a trustee for a number of years.

Funeral services were held at Zion Lutheran church on Nov. 22, with the Rev.
Carl W. Schmidt officiating. Mrs. Fred Rabe served as organist and selections
were sung by the Lutheran Ladies choir. Interment was made in the Lutheran
Cemetery. The following served as pallbearers: Donald Beermann, Robert Beermann,
Ronald Beermann, Alan Boeck, Dale Christoffersen and Darlo Jensen.
