Jeter Mountain, N.C. - James H. "Jim" Wolfe, 84, of Jeter Mountain, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Elizabeth House.

He served in the Army infantry during WW II.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy O. Wolfe; two step-sons, Michael Hollen Long, Jonathan Paige Long, both of Pisgah Forest; a sister, Joan MacLeod of Lexington, S.C.; four stepgrandsons, Michael King and Jesse Long, both of Pisgah Forest, John David King and Tony Bryon Long of Minnesota; a step-great-granddaughter, McKenzie of Minnesota; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009, in the chapel of Forest Lawn Mortuary.

The Rev. Cory Honeycutt will officiate. Military honors will be rendered by Hubert M. Smith American Legion Post # 77, HedrickRhodes VFW Post # 5206, and DAV Chapter 14. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
