Services for Late Scenic Artist to be at Chapel

Funeral services for Arthur S. White, known in motion-picture circles as a scenic artist, who died suddenly Saturday afternoon, will take place today at the chapel of the Ivy Overholtzer mortuary. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery. The deceased was a brother of Jack White, who for many years has been the advertising manager of the Morosco Theater. He leaves his widow and three children.

Deceased came to Los Angeles fifteen years ago and for a time was connected with the Burbank Theater during the Oliver Morosco ownership of that house. Later he joined with Essanay in the motion-picture industry, following which he spent several years with the American Film Company AKA "Flying A Studios" (Scenic Artist, 1915-1916), and had been with the Fox Film Corporation for several years at the time of his death. He was 43 years of age.

White was promoted as Head Scenic Artist for Fox Studios in the early 1920's.
