Andrew J Harsin succumbs Monday.

Andrew J Harsin, 75, and Eastern Colorado pioneer, died of a heart attack while sitting in a chair at his home on 30th Ln., Monday night.

He lived in Pueblo County 26 years. Mr. Harsin, who has been employed by the national sugar company for more than 10 years, moved to Colorado and settled in Rocky Ford in 1891. He was a native of Iowa.

He was married in a home ceremony at Rocky Ford in 1907. His wife preceded him in death by almost 2 years.

Mr. Harsin, who was not thought to be in ill health, learned only Friday that he had what doctors termed a slight heart condition.

Survivors include four sons and a daughter. They are William Harsin, of St. Charles Mesa; Andrew J Harsin Jr., La Junta; Mrs. Amerette Milburn, Phoenix, Arizona; Ralph Harsin, also Phoenix, and Robert Harsin, Santa Maria, California. Seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be at Rocky Ford. Service announcements will be made by Ustick funeral home there.
