Catherine and Adam Adamaszek were born in GroB Schoenwalde (Szynwald) area of WestpreuBen. They were married on 4 Nov 1844 in Koerberrode (today Nowe Jankowice, Poland), Adam was 24 and Catherine 21. Their first three children were born in this area. They moved to a tiny village now in Poland and is called Plowez, it is in the adminstrative district of Gmina Jablonowo Pormorskie, within Brodnica County, Kuyavian- Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland.

Catherine emigrated to the US on 07 Dec 1880, after the death of her husband in what was then still the country of WestpreuBen. All of her children came to the US in the early 1880s. Her husband Adam had died in WestpreuBen between 1875-1880, and certainly is not buried in Mt. Olivet as is indicted on FindAGrave.
