John Poor did not die in Jefferson County, Iowa. He went to near Madison, Indiana in April, 1818, but soon after moved 40 miles west of Madison into Washington County, IN where he built a log house. His death date is correct, but he almost certainly died in Washington County, IN. His widow, Hannah Poor was living with seven children in Washington County, IN when the 1820 census was taken.
