Washington County Review - April 21, 1904
SHACKELFORD, Mrs. G.B. (JOHNIGAN) - We feel it our duty to give the sad tidings of the death of a loving friend on March 23. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johnigan of Hazel Valley. She was married to G.B. Shackelford when 18. She leaves three little boys, one only 2 weeks old, another 6 yrs., another 8 yrs. She has been a true Christian since a girl. She took a great interest in S.S. She took great interest in training her little boys, taking much pains with them in seeing that they were always nice and clean.
Sister Shackelford was a member of the M.E. church and was ready to do all she could to help her friends to Christ. She was laid to rest in the Methodist Cemetery of Health by the side of her husband's first wife and her own four little children. She leaves a husband and three children, a father and mother, several brothers and sisters and a host of friends to mourn her loss. A Friend, Health, Ark.
