DIED
At his home at the corner of West Fourth and Lawrence streets, Eugene, at 11:30 p.m., Isaac Zumwalt, aged 88 years and 11 days. Death was due to the infirmities of old age. He was a pioneer of the county and was widely known and highly respected. He leaves a widow and the following children by a former marriage: Doak Zumwalt, of Eugene; Park, Green and Clay Zumwalt, all living near Irving; Mrs. Lydia Hunter and Mrs. Susie Lynch, both of Lane county. The funeral will he held at the Gordon chapel at East Tenth and Pearl streets, at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 2, with interment in the Oak Hill cemetery. Rev. J.S. McCallum of the First Christian church will conduct the services.
