Been in Poor Health Several Months-Funeral Sunday Afternoon
Mrs. Nathan Kiste died at her home, 217 E Naples Avenue, at 8:00 o'clock Friday evening, aged sixty-nine. The funeral will be held at her late residence at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The services will be in charge of Rev. Joseph Keevil, pastor of the Christian church, and the interment will take place in Crownland cemetery. Friends are invited.
Mrs Kiste had not been in good health since last Christmas but she was not confined to her bed until about five weeks ago and for the past ten days it has been known that she could not recover. The end was hastened when pneumonia developed. She was born in this county near Boxleytown and was united in marriage to Mr. Kiste in 1868. With the exception of about eighteen months which they spent in Illinois they lived all of their married life in Hamilton county.
The husband and the following children survive: Mrs. T.A. Richards, living near
Fishers, and Lem Kiste of Indianapolis. The brothers and sisters living are W.F. McMurtry, of Sheridan, Dr. T.J. McMurtry, of Boxleytown, Mrs. Jane Wilson, of Sheridan, and Mrs. Ella Hines, Mrs. T.J. Burton and Mrs Evans Bray, all of this city. The half sisters living are Mrs. Gerald Clark and Mrs. Anna Lovell, of Sheridan, and Miss Ethel McMurtry of Lebanon.
Mrs. Kiste became a member of the Christian church when she was a girl and was an active worker in all branches of church works as long as her health would permit. She was also an active worker in the W.R.C. She was a good christian woman and a had a host of friends.
