William Chadwick

Morgan - William Chadwick, 81, died today at eight-fifteen a.m. at the family residence in Morgan after an extended illness.

Mr. Chadwick was born Oct. 5, 1869, in Slaterville, a son of Benjamin and Sara Walker Chadwick. On Nov. 12, 1902, he married Mary Hansen in the L.D.S. Salt Lake Temple.

He had been a resident of Morgan the past 40 years and was a retired farmer and dairyman. He was a member of the L.D.S. South Morgan ward and had been active in church and civic affairs in the community.

Survivors include his widow, five sons and daughters, Mrs. Dewey (Eva) Wheelwright, Ogden; Russell Chadwick, Salt Lake City; Elwood Chadwick, Thermopolis, Wyo.; Walker Chadwick, Cody, Wyo.; and Mrs. Hubert (LaVerne) Marchant, Lovell, Wyo.; eight grandchildren, the following brothers and sisters: Alma and Benjamin Chadwick, Mrs. Mary C. Cowan and Mrs. Lizzie C. Cargill, Ogden, and Mrs. John (Nettie) Bybee, Lorenzo, Ida. A brother-in-law, William Chadwick, died in Ogden April 26.

Services will be conducted Saturday at two p.m. in the L.D.S. Morgan tabernacle, Bishop Frank B. Rich of the South Morgan ward officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary, 3408 Washington, Ogden, tomorrow from six to nine p.m. and at the family house in Morgan Friday afternoon and evening and Saturday until one-thirty p.m. Interment will be in South Morgan cemetery.
