Grace Neal Harmon of Desha died February 18, 2004, at her home. Born March 28, 1913 in Battle Axe, Jackson County, she was 90. She was the daughter of Marion Seaton and Isabel Grooms Seaton.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Desha United Methodist Church for 70 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allen Harmon; three sisters, Ethel Frost, Emma Jean Brewer and Maude Nesbit and one infant brother, Kenneth Seaton.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry Harmon of Desha and Stanley Harmon of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Carol Morrison of Desha; six grandchildren, Kevin Harmon, Karen Hammond, Greg Harmon, Cheryl Betters, Michelle Vest and Roger Morrison and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held February 21 at the Desha United Methodist Church with Jim Gilliam officiating. Interment followed in Alderbrook Cemetery in Desha. Pallbearers were Kevin Harmon, John Hammond, Kevin Vest, Greg Harmon, Lavaughn Coles and Gordon Harmon.
