Lucille L. (Conrath) Anderson, age 82 of St. Peter, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter, surrounded by her family Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 26, 2009, at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Peter with Rev. David Naumann officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday at St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel and will continue one hour prior to the service at the Church on Thursday.Lucille was born on March 16, 1927, in Elysian Township to Adolph and Viola (Matz) Conrath. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, German Lake. She attended District 27 Country School and Waterville Public School. On June 9, 1948, she was united in marriage to Stanley R. Anderson at German Lake. They shared 60 years of marriage, making their home and raising their family in St. Peter. Lucille worked in food service at Gustavus Adolphus College for twenty years, retiring in 1992. Lucille was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother as well as a wonderful cook. Family and friends enjoyed her apple pies, chocolate chip cookies, potato salad and Sunday morning coffee with homemade cinnamon and caramel rolls. She was also an active member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church.Lucille is survived by seven children, Linda of North Mankato, Karen (Dave) Ziesmer of Cleveland, Kathleen of North Mankato, David (Marie) of St. Peter, Donald of St. Peter, Kristine of St. Peter, and Vicki of St. Peter; six grandchildren, Erin (Ryan) Moenck, Eric and Caitlin Ziesmer, Kenzie and Skylar Anderson, and Randi Anderson; three step-grandchildren, Clinton, Gregory and Lindsay McDonald; sister, Shirley (John) Hager of Medford; sisters-in-law, Gladys Anderson of St. Peter and Cheryl (Richard) Weisgerber of St. Peter; many nieces, nephews, and special friends.She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley in September, 2008; daughter, Donna Kay; her parents; and sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Eugene F. Johnson; brothers-in-law, Harlan, Willis and Carlton "Nook" Anderson.
