Mrs. Rebecca Hart

Mrs. Rebecca Tharp Hart, wife of Oliver Hart, died at her home near this place (Archer) on Tuesday evening, at 5:30 o'clock, December 31 in her fifty-first year, of complications of diseases. She was a sufferer for several months, and in care of Dr. O. L. Quillen, of Jacksonburg who, with kind relatives and neighbors did all that could be done for her recovery, but without avail.

Mrs. Hart was born February 9th, 1865, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Tharp.

She leaves her husband and five children, as follows: Misses Ethel, Temperance, Crystal, Alexander, Jr., George O., Jr., and one sister and two brothers, and her father, aged 91 years to mourn her loss.

Mrs. Hart was a faithful wife and mother, a kind neighbor and a true Christian lady, and will be sadly missed by the many friends who knew her. Through the many long hours of suffering, her faith was resting in her risen Lord and only Redeemer, Jesus Christ and she seemed ready and waiting for Him to call her hence.

She was a member of the Mount Zion Methodist Church, located on Buffalo Run, later removing her membership to the Methodist Church in Smithfield, where her name yet remains.

Funeral services were held at her late home on Thursday morning at eleven o'clock, also later at the cemetery, conducted by C. C. White, pastor of Jacksonburg Presbyterian Church.

Burial will be in the Wyatt cemetery. Under the charge of director W. E. Wharton, of New
