Betty Westberg
Betty Westberg, 75, of Wausau died peacefully in her sleep Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004, at Wisconsin Dells Health and Rehabilitation Center after her battle with Alzheimer's.

Betty was born July 7, 1929, in Wausau to Fred and Selma (Radke) Fenhaus. In 1947, she married John L. Westberg. John preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 1965. Betty worked as a certified nursing assistant in the home health care field.

She enjoyed boating, camping, cooking out and traveling, but most of all her family was everything to her and spending time with them was her greatest joy.

Survivors include six children, Bonnie (Ken) Hall, Wisconsin Dells, Kari ( Donald) Cline and Jay (Sue) Westberg, all of Wausau, Jamie (Mike) Mendrzycki, Wisconsin Rapids, Jonathon Westberg and Kris (Lori) Westberg, all of Waukesha; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn Fenhaus; and one sister, LaVern Krohn.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004, at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

God looked around his garden. He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best. He saw the road was getting rough so he closed your weary eyes and whispered "peace be thine." It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. For parts of us went with you, the day God called you home.
