Nora Vassar Kingsbury, 103, of Middleton Idaho,went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 11, 2000, at the Nampa Care Center. Grave side services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, February 17, 2000, at the Star Cemetery under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Family and friends are ask to meet at the cemetery. Pastor Don Brown of the Star Fiends Church will officiate. Viewing will be Wednesday , February 16, from 4 to 8 P.M.

Nora was born January 25 ,1897 in Goodland ,Kansas, the daughter of Samuel H. and Euretta Wilson Vassar. At age 4 she moved with her family to Idaho and eventually attended grade school at Gem State Academy. She graduated with honors from Caldwell High School in 1918. On May 4, 1921, Nora married Clarence W. Kingsbury. They moved to the family farm on Kingsbury Lane in 1923.

Nora was an industrious housewife, and always kept busy with family and friends. She was a member of the Middleton Garden Club. One of her highlights was teaching a children's Sunday School class for many years at the Star Friends Church. She resided on the farm until 1997, when at age 100, she moved into assisted living at Karcher Estates. Clarence passed away in 1986.

She is survived by a sister, Mable Bow of Nampa; and numerous nieces and nephews. Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Star Friends Church, PO Box 268, Star Idaho or a favorite charity.
