Charles Reid, age 81, of Symsonia, KY, died Thursday, January 19, 2012, at his residence in Symsonia, KY. He was a retired carpenter and member of the Masonic Lodge in Symsonia, KY. Mr. Reid was also a member of Clarks River Baptist Church.
He was the son of the late Rollie Reid and the late Ola Mae (Henson) Reid.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Beulah Mae (Pillion) Reid; Three Daughters: Jo Ann Foley, Symsonia, KY, Alicia Portis, Symsonia, KY, Tammy Anderson, Benton, KY; Two Sisters: Josephine Perry, Benton, KY, Ella Mae Dotson, Benton, KY; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 2 sisters.
Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY.
Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 22, 2012, Rev. Gary Frizzell and Rev. Bruce Watts officiating.
Interment will follow at Clarks River Cemetery, Symsonia, KY.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home.
A masonic service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.
