Fred was born on Oct. 10, 1909, in Westville, Okla., to Joel and Maude Dove Stone DeVine.
After his marriage to Sarah Elizabeth Stansill on Dec. 21, 1934, in Stillwell, Okla., he moved west.
He was involved in ranching and later in the dairy business in California.
Before announcing his retirment in Klamath Falls, Mr. DeVine worked in sawmills.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing in the Klamath Falls area.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah of Klamath Falls; sons, Darrell and John of Klamath Falls; sisters, Audrey Leach of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Mary Lee Wilkie of Bartelsville, Okla.; brothers, Buck of Hanford, Calif., and Ed of Oakdale, Calif.; grand children, Joe, Kris, Terri, Dawn and Darrel of Klamath Falls; great-grandchildren, Michelle and Michael of Klamath Falls; numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Don Devine.
