Opal, a daughter born to Granville Theodore Holloway and Maude Marie Thompson, had five brothers, Donald William, Clifford "Bud", Conde Devon, George Dale and Alfred Theodore. She married Harold Everett Partridge, 16 May 1936, in Rochester, IN. They had two daughters, Patricia Sue (Thompson) and Bonita Kay (Nickell). Opal and Harold lived and farmed east of Rochester, IN.
Opal was an employee of the B&B Men's & Boy's Wear store and a member of the First Baptist Church, where she served as president of the church guild and her Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Fulton County Cancer Board, the Rochester Women's Club, the Pleasant Valley Home Economics Club and RSVP. Opal was a gray lady for Woodlawn Hospital and a volunteer worker for the American Red Cross Blood Bank.

She was also a member of the Fulton County Cancer Board, the Rochester Women's Club, the Pleasant Valley Home Economics Club and RSVP.
