Opal, a daughter born to Granville Theodore Holloway and Maude Marie Thompson, had five brothers, Donald William, Clifford "Bud", Conde Devon, George Dale and Alfred Theodore. She married Harold Everett Partridge, 16 May 1936, in Rochester, IN. They had two daughters, Patricia Sue (Thompson) and Bonita Kay (Nickell). Opal and Harold lived and farmed east of Rochester, IN.

Opal was an employee of the B&B Men's & Boy's Wear store and a member of the First Baptist Church, where she served as president of the church guild and her Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Fulton County Cancer Board, the Rochester Women's Club, the Pleasant Valley Home Economics Club and RSVP. Opal was a gray lady for Woodlawn Hospital and a volunteer worker for the American Red Cross Blood Bank.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, for Opal M. PARTRIDGE, 76, Four Seasons. Dr. Sam WRIGHT will officiate and burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Saturday and after 10 a.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, the Fulton County Cancer Fund or to the Rochester City Park Board for a Living Tree Memorial.
Mrs. Partridge died at 10 a.m. Thursday (August 1, 1991) at her home, following three years of failing health. She was born Dec. 31, 1914 in Rochester to Granville and Maude THOMPSON HOLLOWAY. She lived most of her life in Fulton County. On May 16, 1936 in Rochester she married Harold E. PARTRIDGE, who died April 13, 1975. She was an employee of the B&B Men's & Boy's Wear store and a member of the First Baptist Church, where she served as president of the church guild and her Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Fulton County Cancer Board, the Rochester Women's Club, the Pleasant Valley Home Economics Club and RSVP. She was a gray lady for Woodlawn Hospital and a volunteer worker for the American Red Cross Blood Bank.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Philip (Patricia S.) THOMPSON, Rochester, and Mrs. Cecil D. (Bonita K.) NICKELL, Urbana, Ill.; five grandsons, Brent, Barry and Brad THOMPSON, all of Rochester; Andrew NICKELL, Lafayette, and David NICKELL, Bogue Chitto, Miss.; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Conde and George [HOLLOWAY], both of Rochester, and nieces and nephews. Preceding in death were three brothers, infant Alfred [HOLLOWAY] in 1918, Donald [HOLLOWAY] in July 1983, and Clifford "Bud" HOLLOWAY in September, 1985.
