Frank Aiken Dies From Long Illness
Funeral arrangements are pending at T. F. O'Connor company for Frank Aiken, 77, 710 Third Ave. S.W., who died Friday afternoon at a local hospital, following an illness of seven years.
Born March 27, 1885, in Fredericton, New Brunswick, he was educated there and when 17 years old joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Aiken later was employed by the Canadian Pacific Railroad.
He came to Great Falls in 1907 and was employed by the Great Northern Railway as a fireman and later as an engineer. He retired in 1953.
Aiken was a member of the Loy J. Molumby Post 3, American Legion, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Elks Lodge 214.
Survivors include the widow, Bertha, of Great Falls; and a sister, Mrs. Fay Howes, Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.
