Erma Stella Brown Of Chestertown, MD, age 83, the wife of the late John T. Brown, died peacefully on Saturday September 25, 1999 at the Kent & Queen Anne Hospital in Chestertown, MD.

She was born in Rock Hall, MD on August 28, 1916.

Mrs. Brown was a devoted homemaker and she retired from Vita Foods Company. She was a member of Asbury U.M. Church, where she served faithfully as a Communion Steward, member of the Silver Leaf Chorus, United Methodist Women and the Weekly Prayer Band.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Catherine Broadway of Wilmington, DE; 3 sons, John, Anthony and Roger Brown, all of Chestertown, MD; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 4 sisters; 1 brother; 3 daughters-in-law; 6 sisters-in-law; 4 brothers-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 2 at Asbury U.M. Church in Georgetown, MD. Friends may call at the church Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
