Julia A. Barnes, Ritter, Huntington married Israel Marcus Ritter at Iowa City, Iowa Feb. 23, 1864. Then Israel, who enlisted during the Civil War died of wounds at the Battle of Winchester, VA. Julia then taught school in Iowa and moved to Mason, Michigan in 1867. She married Judge George Huntington May 9, 1868 and spent the rest of her life there. Julia died Dec. 20, 1898 and was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mason, Michigan as were her husband, daughter, father, aunt, brother and his wife
