Mrs. George Seifert, 63, wife of a Town of Meeme, Manitowoc County, farmer, died late Saturday afternoon at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.
Suffering a cerebral hemorrhage at her Route 2, Kiel, home Friday evening, she had been taken to the hospital Saturday morning.
The former Ida Rades, she was born in Meeme, Dec. 20, 1893, a daughter of the late Frank and Wilhelmina Goedeka Rades. She attended Pigeon River School (Meeme) and was married to Mr. Seifert, also of Meeme, July 31, 1915.
The couple had operated the Rades home farm ever since.
She was a member of Bethel Evangelical and Reformed Church, Town of Herman, and of the Union Cemetery Ladies’ Aid Society.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Edgar Rotsted (Helen) of Sheboygan Falls and Mrs. Frederick Hemb Jr. (Roma) of Meeme; four sons, Raymond of Sheboygan, Willard of New Holstein, Lester of Kohler and Melvin at home; and 17 grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, John Rades of Meeme and Herman of Ada; and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Blum of Milwaukee.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, a twin brother and a grandchild.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel Evangelical and Reformed Church, Herman, with the Rev. Lloyd Weber, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Union
Cemetery, Schleswig.
Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, this evening and until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services.
