William Theel, aged 82, passed away on Saturday morning at the Memorial hospital in Sheboygan, after having been confined there since May 24th.
The deceased was born in Germany on November 6, 1862, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Theel. He came to this country in 1868 with his parents, and they immediately settled on a farm near Louis Corners, the place which is now owned by John Theel.
He was married to Miss Anna Voss on November 22, 1888, and they settled on the Theel homestead, where they resided until 1915, when they moved to this city.
Survivors are his wife and eight children: William and Mrs. Herbert (Erna) Tolksdorf of Milwaukee; John of Louis Corners; Mrs. Armie (Frieda) Voigt of the town of Schleswig; Mrs. Henry (Amanda) LaButzke and Mrs. Herman (Annie) Bolle of Sheboygan; Mrs. Ida Koeppe of Waupun, and Mrs. Walter (Hattie) Gruett of Thiensville. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Ernestina Reseburg, resides in California.
Funeral services were held this Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, and at 2 o'clock at the Trinity Lutheran church, with the Rev. H. O. Grunwald officiating. Burial was made in the Union cemetery near Louis Corners.
