Mary Catherine Cook, 83, of Enterprise died Dec, 11 at her home. The funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Enterprise First Baptist Church. Vault interment will follow at Alder Slope Cemetery. Mrs. Cook was born Nov. 15, 1918, to Alonzo Churchwood and Carrie Lucinda Bennett Gillham in Milton-Freewater. She married Wilmer Cook on Sept. 23, 1945 in La Grande. She was a homemaker and taught Sunday School for 2-and 3-year olds at the First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of Enterprise, her children and their spouses, John and Sharon Cook of Pendleton, Fred Cook of La Grande, Joyce and Steve Zollman of Enterprise, Doris and Kent Miller of Brookings and Donna and Paul Bates of Condon; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Frizzell of Summerville. Two granddaughters, Angel and Amanda Cook, and two sisters, Elsie McIntosh and Jesse Gregory, died earlier.
