Walterboro - Mrs. Nina Murdaugh Stone, 79, widow of John M. Stone, died Saturday at Hampton General Hospital. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Monday at Herndon Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Live Oak Cemetery. Mrs. Stone was born in Colleton County, a daughter of the late Preacher M. and Laura Rentz Murdaugh. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Charleston. Surviving are: three sons, Chester Stone and Johnnie Stone, both of Walterboro and Rudell Stone of Varnville; four daughters, Mrs. William Rivers and Mrs. Dalton Smith, both of Charleston, Mrs. Martin Walsh of Winter Haven, Fla. and Mrs. Robert Pratten of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two brothers, Benjamin Murdaugh of Islandton and Eddie Murdaugh of Varnville; 23 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
