Con was an outstanding baseball player and was legend among the boys in the family for how far he could throw a baseball. He left home on his last trip on 14 February 1906, died 15 February. The family learned of his death on 19 February. His brother, Sam, brought the body home on 20 February. The funeral occurred 21 February at Choteau Chapel and interment followed the funeral. Con is buried in Amanda & John Wallick's family plot in Choteau Cemetery, rural Montgomery County, Kansas.
