Whitefield --- William J. Hickey passed away at 10 o'clock Tuesday evening at his home in Whitefield. He was born in that town on March 20, 1849, the son of John and Sarah Hickey. He leaves to mourn his passing the widow, also six sons and three daughters. The sons are, John, Jerome, Fred, Maurice, William, and Joseph, all of Whitefield. The daughters are Mrs. Alice Bailey of Gardiner, and Misses Mary and Rose Hickey of North Whitefield; also two sisters, Mrs. John E. Cunningham of Gardiner, and Mrs. Elizabeth Reilly of Augusta.
Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Friday morning from St. Dennis Catholic Church at North Whitefield.
