Mrs. Sarah Acker
Sarah Elizabeth, daughter of George and Sarah Neiman was born February 12, 1864 near Sullivan, Indiana. She passed away at her home in Windsor, November 4, 1950 after an illness of several months. Early in life she moved to Missouri with her parents and they resided in the Ft. Lyon neighborhood until some 30 years ago when she and her husband moved to Windsor. She was a member of the Haydens Grove Christian church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Acker, who died December 31, 1929. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Wathal Neece of Boonville, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and five step children. Wilford Acker, Matt Acker, Mrs. P. L. Keller and Mrs. B. B. Hughes of Windsor; one brother, Mike Neiman of Appleton City, and a brother-in-law, Edward M Hartman of Windsor, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Acker was a great lover of flowers and was never happier than when working among them.
Services were held at the Funeral Home. Monday, November 6, at 2:30 o’clock with Dr. John D. Garrison officiating. Turner Sappington and Mrs. L. R. Milam sang with Mrs. Lois Johnston accompanying. Pall-bearers were Matt Acker, Fred Acker, Wilford Acker, Bryan Hughes, Palmer Keller and Charles Hunter. Burial was in Laurel Oak Cemetery
