Nora was the daughter of John William & Cynthia Cordelia (Pate) Kee.

She married Levi P. Preston in 1902. They had 15 children: Lonnie Dee, Beautrice Cleo, George Calvin, Leazonia Bell, Marvin, Melvie and Elvie (twins), Lester Rufus, Cordelia Vesti, Florence Juanita, Sara, Bonnie Dell, Baby (died on day of its birth, January 13, 1926), Joe Arnold, & Odessa Fern.

Funeral services were held November 25, 1945 at 3 o'clock for Mrs. L. P. Preston of the Skillet community ten miles south of McLean, at the Church of Christ at McLean with Minister M. W. Chaffin officiating.

Mrs. Preston (came) to that community soon after she and Mr. Preston were married and settled on the farm where they have resided the past 35 years. She lived to see many changes in her community.

She was a good neighbor, a good mother that loved her home and her family. 'She reared a large family being the mother of fifteen children, two of the daughters preceding her in death.

She was a member of the Church of Christ for many years and was always faithful in her church. Mrs. Preston attended the funeral of her little granddaughter, Wanda Joyce Preston, the day before her death.

She is survived by her husband L. P. Preston, six sons: Lonnie Preston of Littlefield, Melvin and Lester, both in the South Pacific war zone, George, M. P. and Joe Preston of McLean; seven daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Stanton, Mrs. Leazonia Baker, Mrs. Cordelia Giesler, Mrs. Florence ?, Mrs. Sara Harris, Mrs. Bonnie Farris, and Miss Odessa of McLean; three brothers: Stanley Kee of California, W.M Key, of Arizona, J. E. Key , Van Alystine; two half brothes, James and Lacey Maize of California; two half sisters, Mrs. Jim Chaney and Mrs. Ott Kinder of Burkburnett; and thirty-three grandchildren.

Pall bearers were: Fred Thompson, Buck Glass, Jack Burr, L. A. Kalka, D. L. Wood and Bill Moore. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery with Womack Funeral home in charge.
