Charles Luther Adams, aged 77, died suddenly at noon on Monday, April 23, 1956 at Ransom Memorial Hospital. A lifelong resident of Franklin County, he was born August 11, 1878, near Princeton. He was a retired iron molder and had worked many years for the Warner Plant.

Charles was married first to Margaret O'Brien, who died in 1932. He later married Emma Neff in 1941 at Iola. He was survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Eileen Reardon, and one son, Edward Adams, both of Kansas City, Kas.; one stepson, John Goley, of Wichita; two sisters, Mrs. Phil Welch of Chanute and Mrs. Maude Millington of Ottawa; and a number of nieces and nephews.
