ALICE W. BOND
EDENTON, N.C. - Alice Weadon Bond, 66, of the 500 block of W. Queen St., a former manager of North Carolina Employment Security Commission, died May 6, 1990, in a hospital.
Mrs. Bond, a native of Eden, was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was a treasurer of the Cupola House Association and was a member of the Edenton Zoning Board and Adjustment. She was chairwoman of the Volunteer Historic Edenton Association.
Survivors include her husband, James M. Bond Sr.; three sons, James M. Bond Jr. of Wilson, N.C., Millard H. Bond of Edenton and Richard R. Bond of Oxford, N.C.; a sister, Marilyn Williams of Eden; a brother, J. Reid Weadon of Eden; and five grandchildren.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Beaver Hill Cemetery by the Rev. John C. Rivers. Williford-Barham Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to the ALS Association, 21021 Ventura Blvd., Suite 231, Woodland Hills, Calif., 91364, or to a favorite charity.
